Here are a few suggestions.
Lake Travis
We live in Lago Vista off Lake Travis and have a few options to launch if the lake level is high enough. Lake Travis is a gorgeous getaway with beautiful coves like Cow Creek or Devil’s Cove. The shores are lined with gorgeous mansions and estates including Mattress Mack’s house. The sunsets are breathtaking and the vibe is everything.
Lake Austin
Lake Austin is another beautiful constant level lake and the water is cooler. There are several famous people who live on Lake Austin including the billionaire, David Booth who lives next to Party Cove and goats on his property. Lake Austin is home to Andy Roddick, Joe Rogan, Michael Dell, Mathew McConaughhay and many more. Lake Austin is a little harder to access because of its popularity but you can pay for access on certain boat ramps.
Lake Marble Falls
Lake Marble Falls is 30 minutes away from Lago Vista Texas and another perfect option especially when the lake waters are low. It is a constant level lake with a quieter vibe and perfect for a family lake trip. Johnson Park is beautiful with a large playground for the kids, a splash park and a beach on the shores of Lake Marble Falls. It is one of our favorite places to launch.
